MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A total of 20 athletes took part in the first biathle meeting at Santos Beach in Mossel Bay last Sunday.
Biathle is a combination of running and swimming in which people from any age group can take part.
The distances are set out in such a way that it will be a challenge for anyone from the age of nine to 70.
Results:
U13: Samantha Bellew (4:59), Carla Botha (5:28) and Estiaan van der Westhuizen (6:45).
U15: Stef Schoeman (9:28), Leanne Viljoen (10:56), Megan van der Westhuizen (11:09) and Madelein Windt (11:25).
U17: Llewelyn Viljoen (12:49), Marcus Keynhans (14:16), James Bellew (14:22) and Jena Borett (15:00).
U19: André Kleynhans (16:26) and Jade Borrett (19:39).
Juniors: Zhané Vorster (19:37) and Zanelle Vorster (21:43).
Masters 40+ Tertius Steyn (14:00) and Sonja Steyn (15:44).
Masters 50+ Frikkie Elstadt (19:49) and Deon Borett (13:41).
Masters 60+ Johan Windt (10:02).

Anyone interested in taking part in triathle can join the Eden Modern Penthalon on Sunday, 11 March in Oudtshoorn at 15:00. It costs R30 to participate.
