GEORGE NEWS - A resident on a smallholding in the vicinity of the Garden Route Mall strangled her neighbours’ beloved Staffordshire cross bull terrier last night, Thursday 2 November.
The woman is around 25 years old.
A livid SPCA Senior Inspector Salome Bruyns told the George Herald: “Last night I received a call on the SPCA emergency number from a resident in the vicinity of the Mall saying his dog had been ‘murdered’.”
Bruyns found the dead dog tied to a water pump with a piece of wire still around its neck.
The woman admitted that she had killed the dog as it had allegedly attacked her.
