NATIONAL NEWS - The lawyer for a close family member of murdered Uitenhage teacher Jayde Panayiotou, says rumours that her farther-in-law was arrested last night are completely false.
"Rumours that Jayde's father-in-law was arrested are totally incorrect, and is leading to a lot of unhappiness - not only with the deceased's family, but also other family members who are involved in this matter" Griebenouw said.
In a shocking twist in the murder case earlier this week, Panayioutou's husband, Christopher, was arrested by police.
One other suspect has also been arrested.
Panayiotou was abducted outside her Kabega Park home in Port Elizabeth last Tuesday morning while waiting for a colleague to pick her up for work. Her body was discovered near KwaNobuhle Township in Uitenhage the next day.
