MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Two days changed the history of Mossel Bay when disruptive, violent unrest shut down Dana Bay, Asla Park and other parts of town.
Protesters demanded effective service delivery as well as access to land, among others.
The situation was defused after the intervention of the executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal, and other political leaders who met a delegation of leaders representing the protesters.
A follow-up meeting will take place on 7 August to provide feedback to the protesters on the issues they raised.
For the second time in short succession, residents felt they had to resort to violence to be heard.
