Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Louis Fourie Road remains closed to traffic from the Dana Bay intersection to the Casino Road intersection.
The public order policing unit, as well as several local police officers, remain on duty and are attending to hot spots in especially the Asla Park area.
Reports were received that stone throwing at vehicles travelling along Louis Fourie remains a problem and motorists are warned to heed the instructions of traffic officers and members of the police.
The police and other emergency and law enforcement agencies will again meet at the joint operations centre tonight to monitor the situation.
Tomorrow the executive mayor, alderman Harry Levendal, his mayoral committee and senior municipal management is set to meet with the leaders of the protesters at 10:00 to address the various issues they have raised.
At this stage, it is impossible to venture a guess on whether any further protest action will take place overnight.
Should further information be made available, readers will be informed.
