MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Suidkus 4x4 club took on a sand adventure on the dunes at Vleesbaai on Sunday, 9 April.
The sand was wet from the rains, which made it interesting.

The drivers tested their 4x2 skills and did the slowest ride in the sand. For those not in the know, the slower you go in the sand, the more likely you are to get stuck. This served as great entertainment for all the co-drivers.
Chris van Zyl even had the time to get out of his Landcruiser and walk next to it. He definitely won the slowest in the sand challenge. There was lots of time to play and test out skills and even a visitor from the Free State got to try out the sand for the first time.
He was used to rockier 4x4 terrain, where one should go more slowly, so the faster pace on the sand was an awesome challenge for him.
The Suidkus group will be doing the Oxwagon trail on 29 April and Outeniqua Game Lodge on 30 April. Anyone is welcome to join or to organise a trip in which the group can take part.
