MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal, and members of the executive mayoral committee of the Mossel Bay Municipality met with representatives of Prepaid24 on Monday to discuss business opportunities and synergistic local economic development.
Prepaid24 is an unrivalled online prepaid platform that offers clients prepaid electricity, airtime, and data from its head office in Mossel Bay.
In addition, it is the only online company that offers trained staff to answer questions 365 days a year.
The company has been operating in Mossel Bay for the past eight years, employs 50 local residents and says its key focus is good client service that will ultimately enhance the quality of life of every person using its online solution.
Past Springbok rugby captain Jean de Villiers, responsible for Prepaid24's business development, stressed that service excellence is the company's key attribute.
He said its investment in the local economy, creating job opportunities and growing its business in a difficult economic climate, and its willingness to accommodate whatever challenges its clients may face in an innovative and synergistic manner sets the business apart from other offerings in the same environment.
The chair of council's finance committee, Councillor Marie de Klerk, said Mossel Bay needed innovative businesses. She thanked Brian Hill of Utilities World and Ben Lindeque of Prepaid24 for engaging in exploratory discussions with the local authority.
