MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Tourism took its Tourism Month campaign to Johannesburg on 18 September, thanking Gauteng visitors and tourism partners for their contribution to the town's growing tourism economy.
The delegation, led by Mayor Dirk Kotzé, hosted a 'Surf Your Turf' Mini Tourism Indaba at Prison Break Market in Glenferness.
The initiative formed part of a campaign to strengthen ties with Gauteng, one of Mossel Bay's key source markets.
"Hundreds of thousands of people visit Mossel Bay every year, and a large portion of them are from Jozi," Kotzé said.
"This Tourism Month, we wanted to thank them for their support by bringing a little of Mossel Bay to their turf."
Mossel Bay's tourism economy was also highlighted, as the area hosted more than 100 major events during the 2024/25 period.
Kotzé thanked Gauteng's tourism industry and visitors for their continued support and invited them to return to Mossel Bay during the December holiday period and throughout the year.
