Not only have many of these models made their mark outside of their hometown, but they are set to make a difference in their communities, through their involvement in youth development projects surrounding Mandela Day, Youth Day, Bandana Day and Aids Awareness Day.
This is all thanks to the mentorship of the founder of Mossel Bay Models and Entertainers, Vuyo Mfumbe.
"I live to inspire hope in the heart of the community and my motto is 'shine, my stars, do not let the darkness swallow you'," says Mfumbe, 2013 winner of the Rotary Club of Mossel Bay Citizen of the Year Merit Award.
Two of his protégés, Penelope Dimba and Patience Dlamini, are both doing exceptionally well.
Penelope Dimba, former Miss KwaNonqaba and dancer, signed up with K-Mile International, where she is making a living through being a promotion model in campaigns for big brand names. She also participated in the SA's Sports Awards as one the models.
The 19-year-old Patience, Miss Asla and Miss Carnival, is a second year medical Bio sciences student at University of the Western Cape. She is signed up by Pure Management agency in Cape Town.
"Mossel Bay Models is there to teach models to believe in themselves. Moreover, it's a grooming club, preparing our models to participate in local, provincial and national pageants like Miss Mossel Bay, Miss Garden Route, Miss and Mr Western Cape and Mzantsi Africa Nationals by RoleModels South Africa," says Mfumbe.

Penelope Dimba, former model at Mossel Bay Models and Entertainers, is excelling with an international modeling agency.
