MOSSEL BAY NEWS - One man was arrested in connection with two murders in KwaNonqaba yesterday, Saturday, 8 November.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, preliminary reports suggest KwaNonqaba Police were dispatched to a scene after community members alerted them of a man with a knife leaving a premises at Bantom Street at about 09:40.
“Upon arrival the members found a 43-year-old man. He was declared dead by paramedics on scene.
“Thereafter police responded to another scene where a 46-year-old woman was found with stab wounds to the neck and arm. She was also declared dead by paramedics.
According to Spies the suspect was found in the same vicinity with stab wounds, believed to be self-inflicted, to his chest and arrested in connection with the killing of the two victims.
The suspect is currently in hospital under police guard. He will appear in court once charged.
The motive for the killings is under investigation.
