Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Donovan May pleaded guilty to being a member of a gang, murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm in the circuit Western Cape High Court in Mossel Bay.
May, from the notorious 26s prison gang, was one of 11 men who faced two counts of murder and 7 counts of attempted murder after a fight broke out in the shared cell of rival gangs, the 26s and the 28s, on 29 March, 2016 at the Mossel Bay Youth Correctional Centre.
May was sentenced to effectively 25 years imprisonment for the murder of Bradley Teyise (20), three years’ imprisonment for being a gang member, and three years for the assault on Thembelani Quaga.
The court case continues tomorrow.
