Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Police have arrested five people this weekend on separate charges following the unrest in Asla Park between Friday, 29 May and yesterday.
A Southern Cape Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies said that two people, aged 19 and 21 have been arrested on a charge of public violence and three people, aged 21, 31, and 41, were arrested on charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
Spies said these suspected stolen items are believed to have been stolen from a property that was left vacant.
No arrests have been made in connection with the two murders in the early hours of Saturday. Spies said the situation is currently calm.
He added that the high police visibility will be maintained until the situation has normalised and that these efforts are also being supported by local law enforcement.
Spies said other parts of the Garden Route region have not been affected.
