MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Last week we interviewed a Grade 7 and a Grade 12 learner about the Education Department's decision that these grades return to school on 1 June.
We also spoke to two parents of Grade 12 learners and we asked a teacher how she feels about going back to work.
Teachers are expected to go back to school on 18 May.

CATHINA KNOETZE (teacher, Curro Private School, Mossel Bay): "I'm excited to be going back to school on 18 May and to see my colleagues and to use the time to plan properly how we will go ahead from there. We will be getting the school ready for the learners and making sure all safety measures are in place."

GRACEY JOHNSON, Grade 7, Milkwood Primary School in Mossel Bay: "I'm pleased about the decision that we go back to school on 1 June because I miss my friends and our teachers. I'm happy that our grade is going back to school first. Although I'm enjoying home schooling, it's not the same as the interaction we have at school."
