MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - A day after Naledi Phandingawo was laid to rest, 34-yeard-old Mlondi Ntlangulela - who is accused of her murder - made his third court appearance today.
As previously reported, he was scheduled to apply for bail today.
A group of activists, who quietly protested at court last week, arrived again this morning to hand over a petition with 5000 signatures pleading that Ntlangulela does not receive bail.
The petition was handed to a court official. The case has been postponed to 8 July. Ntlangulela, father of two of Phandingawo’s children handed himself over to the police in Cape Town on Sunday, 7 June. Phandigawo was stabbed with a knife and hacked with an axe on Saturday, 6 June in KwaNonqaba.
