INTERNATIONAL NEWS - Zimbabwe's state broadcaster ZBC has announced that Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in as the country's interim president on Friday and not Wednesday as was expected.
The channel says that Mnangagwa will arrive in Harare this evening.
President Robert Mugabe resigned on Tuesday after almost 40 years at the helm.
Mnangagwa fled the country early this month, after being sacked by President Robert Mugabe.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mnangagwa said he wouldn’t return until his personal security was guaranteed.
But Mugabe resigned after Parliament began a process to impeach him.
