KWANONQABA NEWS - KwaNonqaba police have arrested a suspect on a charge of murder following the death of a 30-year-old man who was allegedly beaten to death with a hockey stick.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, officers were called to a Mossel Bay hospital at about 10:00 on Saturday 13 December.
The victim was found with multiple head injuries believed to have been inflicted with a hockey stick.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the incident happened in Dadoo Street in KwaNonqaba.
The man was declared dead by medical personnel at the hospital.
The suspect is expected to appear in court once formally charged.
He is facing a charge of murder.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.
