MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A KwaNonqaba Police Station officer is set to appear in court in January for allegedly uttering a racial slur against the station's CPF chairperson, Shadrack Shishana, on 29 May this year.
Shishana opened a case of crimen injuria at the station after the officer had driven onto the station's grounds where he was standing and talking to someone, and allegedly called out the slur to him.
Shishana and the officer appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on 3 December.
The National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) Eric Ntabazalila said the matter has been postponed to 21 January for docket copies and instructions.
The KwaNonqaba Police Station's spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, said the case is being investigated by a KwaNonqaba detective, and that further inquiries into the matter should be directed to the NPA.
