MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - The protests action on Louis Fourie Road earlier today, 25 February that lead to road closure in the area was a result of several taxis being impounded by traffic officials.
According to information the vehicles were impounded due to a variety of transgressions pertaining to roadworthiness, allocated routes and Covid-19 regulations.
A process of negotiation is underway between members of the various taxi associations, police and traffic officials to mediate.
Louis Fourie Road has been cleared and is open to normal traffic.
