MOSSEL BAY NEWS - If there is one thing that will build a bridge over the troubled waters at Indwe Secondary School, where there have been several violent incidents, it is art.
This is firmly believed by a group of performing artists who hosted an outreach at the school on Friday, 25 October.
Setting a tone of inspiration for the weekend, hip hop artists representing Crystal Blaq Entertainment, in collaboration with some of the winners of Mossel Bay's Got Talent competition, performed as school came out on Friday.
Councillor Venolea Fortuin did the welcoming address and implored them to mind their choices and make the most of their futures. An inmate at the local correctional youth facility shared his experiences as a guideline to the youth on not straying from the right path.
Dancer DTrix and rapper Crisom Hozay, both Mossel Bay's Got Talent winners, performed, along with the Indiwe School Choir.
Mossel Bay's Got Talent is a project managed by the youth office of the Mossel Bay Municipality. Artists from Crystal Blaq closed the programme.
The event was also supported by the KwaNonqaba Police.
