GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a level 2 impact-based warning for damaging winds valid from today, 26 June to 27 June at 23:00.
Areas in the Garden Route district affected by damaging winds include Bitou, George, Hessequa, Knysna and Mossel Bay.
This will result in difficulty in navigation at sea between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas is expected today, 26 June. Winds will persist south of Table Bay tomorrow morning while spreading to Plettenberg Bay.
Caution should be taken with regard to large and unpredictable waves along the coast. Small vessels are advised to seek shelter in harbours, bays or inlets.
