MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On Saturday, 18 November, the Keep a Girl in School Project had the final outing of the year.
The girls were taken to the Diaz Waterpark, where they were challenged to be brave and have an adventure.
After a nervous start, the girls soon embraced the challenge and had great fun going down the water slides and swimming in the pool.
Project spokesperson Helen Adair said: "It was such a blessing to see the girls having fun in the sun, with the opportunity to do something they wouldn't normally do. A huge thank you to Roman's Pizza Mossel Bay for sponsoring the delicious lunch.
"This year has been a fun- and faith-filled year. The girls from Isalathiso primary, Hillcrest Secondary and Indwe Secondary have been taught many lessons from the book of Ruth.
"It’s been great to see the difference the project makes in the lives of the girls involved.
"Thank you to all our sponsors both here and in England for faithfully praying for our girls and giving a donation each month to pay for our supplies.
"Thank you to Round Table - Mossel Bay 32 for the generous donation which has gone towards paying for sanitary pads for five months this year, which has enabled us to use the money we would have spent on pads, to buy school uniforms for those girls in greatest need. Thank you for sharing our vision," Adair concluded.
The girls enjoyed the outing tremendously.
