The Prince Vintcent Archway Foodmarket, opening on Friday, 2 November seems to be just the right thing to make weekend bliss complete. This weekly food market, getting under way from 16:00, as many working folk take the winding road home, offers them the convenience of dropping by for a wholesome bite to take away.
Continuing until 20:00, those who prefer to linger, browse and enjoy their food on the spot, can enjoy the wonderful ambience of the historical Prince Vintcent building, whilst listening to live music played at the market.
The Prince Vintcent building, corner of Bland and Church streets in the Mossel Bay CBD, still containing the original building dating back to the 1820s, is noted to have been the foremost economical hub of Mossel Bay back in the 1900s. Owned by various people, it was Joseph Vintcent, choosing Mossel Bay as his retirement destination, who finally ensured the business boom at this centre from 1850 onwards.
Resonating with the ideals of the recently launched 'Buy Local' campaign, the Prince Vintcent Archway Foodmarket will offer a delectable combination of local products, such as cheese, bread, vegetables, fruit, sushi, wines and more, many being organic, offering an extra healthy alternative way to eat. The market aims at offering delicious food to suit every palate and especially the children can look forward to what's on offer for them.
Ample parking is available, including free undercover parking on Church, as well as open parking on Bland Street in front of the Bayside Centre.

The courtyard of the historical Prince Vintcent building will soon be abuzz with activity when the Prince Vintcent Archway Foodmarket opens on Friday, 2 November at 16:00.

The archway of the Prince Vintcent building is where ox wagons used to gain access to the courtyard of the centre during the early 1900s.
