The Dias Museum writes:
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the recent highly successful Marine Month Event at the Dias Museum.
Numerous staff members and members of the Friends Committee assisted before, during and after the event. It was truly a team effort, as always.
Thank you to the following people and organisations:
The manager of the Dias Museum; the Management Committee; the Friends of the Dias Museum, especially the chairperson, Andrea Bradfield, who welcomed the audience and was programme director with Abongile Zenani; 'King Neptune' and the Mermaids (Mary-Anne Ehlers, Malaika Versi, Coco and Ava Koen); Marius Erlank, who played beautiful background music on the piano (kindly made available by the Mossel Bay Arts Society), Stephanie Nicolaides (UWC) for her excellent presentation: Invisible Plastics, Visible Impacts; Xhanti Malambile, who sang beautifully, accompanied on piano by Louise Gerber; the DFFE via Arno Munro for donating items for the lucky draw; Recardo Klein (marine guide) for doing the vote of thanks; the Recycle Club of St Catherine's Convent for providing photos of their recycling art competition for the invitation; Jeanne Pienaar for designing the invitation for the event; and the audience, including those who came from far away!
