The silver medal went to Hungary’s Daniel Gyurta in 1:00.60 and the bronze to Great Britain’s Ross Murdoch in 1:00.84.
Chad le Clos scooped his fourth gold medal of the competition, this time in the 100m butterfly, finishing with a time of 51.44 ahead of the USA’s Tom Shields in 52.10 and Australia’s Christopher Wright in 52.50.
