Josh Enslin, 30, hopes to surf for more than 29 hours 27 minutes in November at Pollok Beach.
He will need to catch a wave every five minutes in order for his attempt to be valid. The record is held by American surfer Ben Shaw. But Enslin plans to beat it by a “big margin”.
The attempt will require Enslin, a Cyoh Surf Club member, to catch about 400 waves to topple Shaw’s record.
