MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Mossel Bay's Ashley Layland (13) came third in her class in the RS Tera Western Cape Championships - the Sport class - hosted at the Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club over the weekend.

The Pro class - larger sail - is for older sailors.
The Sport class is for younger sailors.
An interclub regatta between Mossel Bay, George Lakes and Knysna yacht clubs was also held, with darts, lasers and catamarans competing.
George Lakes won.
The Tera sailors aim to qualify for the South African team that will participate in the World Championship later this year.
The last chance to qualify will be at a regatta in April.
Participants from as far as Richard Bay were present for the Tera championships.
Fifty-two boats competed in the interclub event.
In September the Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club will host the Western Cape Dart Championship as well as the Simon's Town to Mossel Bay Yacht Race.
