Rudi is a member of the Lifesaving Western Cape High Performance team and is also representing South Africa in Japan later this year.
The spokesperson for MBSLC said: "It takes courage and lots of guts for the Nipper children to complete their events. We are so proud of them all and pleased that every year our Nippers are growing from strength to strength."
She thanked club coach Tracey Reinecke and Nipper officer Andre Gross for their efforts.
"A special thanks to Nipper parents too: your children are amazing and without your support and participation none of this would be possible. "Lifesaving is a sport that challenges children, it teaches them courage, determination and of course, helps them to become lifesavers. Parents and children also spend time together during practice, away from other distractions."
Children are invited to join the Nipper and First Year programmes. See the MBSLC website and follow them on facebook for updates and details of practice times: www.mbslc.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/MBSLC/
