NETBALL NEWS - Two netball players from the Eden District have been selected for the SA u.21 team.

Shannon Johannes and Leechen Muller were on the Eden District Netball u.21 team that attended the Spar National Championships at North West University in Potchefstroom from 7 to 13 August.

No players were selected from the Eden District Netball Senior team that also attended the nationals.

With netball fever on the rise as South Africa will be hosting the Netball World Cup in Cape Town next year, this is a great honour for Johannes and Muller.

Chairperson of the Eden District Netball Federation René Booysen said the federation is very proud of the performance of its teams at the nationals. She also extended a heartfelt gratitude towards all the sponsors that supported the girls financially.
