Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Alleged fake Mossel Bay developer Robert Pace is set to appear in the Mossel Bay Regional Court for a pre-trial conference on 29 October.
Pace, who allegedly defrauded several people in the Garden Route while posing as a property developer, appeared in court on Tuesday 29 September, and the matter was postponed.
There are reportedly 19 cases against Pace, involving almost R3m. He is accused of receiving money from several people, mostly pensioners, between 2018 and 2024.
He allegedly told the victims that the money would be used to purchase plots of land he had earmarked for a housing development.
The Da Gamaskop Police first arrested Pace in July 2024, and he was granted bail of R10 000 in August that year.
