MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Golf Club ladies' section hosted a fourball waltzing alliance competition last Thursday.
Eighty-four balls took part with varying degrees of synchronisation. For some, the rhythm was out of kilter, but others' were stepping to the same tune and the result was music to their ears.
Strong winds played havoc, demanding concentration and flair to pull off the victory. Those in possession of such talents and skill posted a resounding winning score of 85: Leonie de Beer, Regina Herbst, Diana van Staden and Mariaan Hadiaris.
In second place with 78 points were Gloria Greyvenstein, Frouckje de Lange, Hettie Bruwer and Hannelie Borchardt.
In third place was the quartet of Tertia Mitchell, Jackie Braisher, Shirley Greig and Chantelle Grard with 73 points. Nearest the pin on the 12th was Annette Pretorius and the only two club of the day went to Tertia Mitchell.
