MOSSEL BAY GOLF NEWS - The Mossel Bay Golf Club ladies' weekly golf competition last week Thursday was held in perfect weather on a course refreshed by the recent good rains.
The ladies were raring to get out there after the enforced rain break.
The competition format was a Betterball Stableford, with chosen partners and a record field of 44 players participated. The competition was fierce, as the results at the end of the day signified.
The duo of Annette Pretorius and Kim de Klerk were the cream at the top, with a commendable score of 46 points, followed closely by Annemarie Luggen and Rachel Mulder with 45 points.
In third place with 44 points was the evergreen Dawn Wessels, partnered by Ineke Botes. Fourth and fifth places were decided on a count-out, with Hanlie de Villiers and Bev Weitjers pipping Anthea Wessa and Catherine Bell. Both teams had 43 points.
Nearest the pin on the fourth was Bev Weitjers and two clubs were achieved by Ina Swart, Jacqueline Ranke and Bev Weitjers.
We thank the green keeper and his staff for the condition of the wonderful course on which we are privileged to play.
