MOSSEL BAY GOLF NEWS - The fifth leg of the network-based Business League, played in a better ball format, was hosted by Pinnacle Point on Wednesday, 16 September.
Fourteen teams representing various businesses in the area took to the award-winning field to compete for the revered pole position.
There was great golf all round. In third place came the team of Fine & Country, comprising skilled golfers Marianda de Villiers, Marina and Ed Juta and Christe-Mari Meyer.
Pinnacle Point member Cecil Gericke celebrated his birthday, carding down the best score of the day with the help of teammate Fanus Minnaar (48 points).
The efforts of Cecil and Fanus secured their team, Zaber, a second place and a steady move up on the overall log. Victors of the day, André Steyn, Eugene Maritz, Riaan van Wyk and Stephen Olivier, representing the formidable Back Nine Bandits, recorded their second win in a row on a score of 90 points.
Team Back Nine Bandits' performance entrenched their top position on the log, giving the other teams some serious work to catch up to the in-form team.
This month there will be two Business League games, with the sixth leg next week, on 30 September.
"We thank all the players who joined us for the ever-popular monthly competition," says Paul Hoeksema, media operations, Pinnacle Point.
