MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Defending champions Seabirds FC takes on rivals Green Aces FC today as the Mayoral Cup Soccer Tournament, part of the annual Mossel Bay Sport & Recreation Festival, gets underway.
It is a much larger competition this year with more teams competing.
Today the teams of Youngsters vs. Flying Eagles; Mighty Eagles vs. Baruchs; and Peacemakers vs. Masters opened the tournament at the Extension 23 Sports Fields, while Correctional Services took on Green Aces at the Correctional Services sports fields.
Executive manager Strategic services Colin Puren opened the tournament on behalf of executive mayor Alderman Harry Levendal.
