Gaxa throws challenge to Chiefs rivals

NATIONAL NEWS - Kaizer Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa has revealed that the club will look to start this season like they did in the past campaign, throwing a challenge to their rivals to catch them if they can. Chiefs’ good start last season not only secured them the MTN8 but the Absa Premiership too.

They are on course to retain the MTN8, after advancing to the semifinals where they were drawn against Bloemfontein Celtic while Ajax Cape Town will take on Bidvest Wits in the two-legged affair. Those semifinals will be played on the weekends of August 15/16 and 29/30.

Chiefs smashed five goals past Maritzburg United to reach the last four. But on Sunday they will start their Premiership defense in the same city where they lifted the trophy when they face Chippa United.
