MOSSEL BAY CRICKET NEWS - The SWD women's cricket team suffered defeats in both the limited over and Twenty20 matches they played against Border at Buffalo Park in East London in the Cricket South Africa Provincial Women's competition.
As in their previous match against Eastern Province the SWD women again narrowly lost by one wicket in the limited over match.
SWD, who posted only 107, showed a great fight back with a good bowling performance by the captain, Haroline Rhodes (5/36), but Border got over the line (109/9) in the 32nd over.
SWD were outplayed in the Twenty20 clash when they were restricted for 47/8, whereafter Border surpassed the total (48/2) in the 11th over for an eight-wicket bonus point victory.
The SWD women, who are still without a victory in any format this season, will now regroup for their next round of matches against Kei in Mthatha on 18 and 19 January.
