SOUTHERN CAPE CRICKET NEWS - The top two teams in the SWD Premier League, Union Stars (1st on 34 points after nine matches) and George (2nd on 31 points after nine matches), will be in action tomorrow, Saturday 25 January, at the Bridgton Sports Grounds.
The winner of this match will have a good chance to end on top of the log and directly qualify for a place in the final.
Harlequins, who are in third position on the log (26 points after 9 matches), can strengthen their position for a place in the play-off match to qualify for the final when they take on Mossel Bay.
The teams that finish second and third play in a qualifier to determine the other finalist.
The semi-final rounds of the Promotion league (Divisions 1 and 2) will be played tomorrow (Saturday) as well as the women's finals. Union Stars will defend their title as the women's champion against Harlequins. The match will be played at the REC Ground in Oudtshoorn.
