GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The preliminary round fixtures in the Six Gun Grill SWD Premier League will be contested tomorrow, Saturday12 February, and everything will be at stake for a place in the top three.
The top team automatically qualifies for a place in the final, while the teams that finish second and third will lock horns in a play-off to determine the other finalist.
Currently Knysna Cavaliers (24 points) are the log leaders followed by George (23 points) and Plettenberg Bay Pioneers (19 points). Union Stars and Harlequins Forces - both on 15 points - are still in for a chance. Ramblers are currently at the bottom of the log and face relegation.
The Women’s League final will also be contested tomorrow, when the defending champions, Union Stars, will take on George. Union Stars will be aiming for a seventh consecutive title. In the B Division T20 final Mossel Bay will be up against Plett Pioneers.
