CRICKET NEWS - Six cricketers from the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers Women’s team will be in action in the upcoming Cricket South Africa Women’s Super League T20 tournament that will be hosted at Newlands in Cape Town from 12-16 December.
Head coach, Martelize van der Merwe, will be the head coach of the Coronations – one of the four teams in the league.
Tazmin Brits, Mieke de Ridder, Khayakazi Mathe and Jané Winster form part of the Starlight’s squad while Miceala Andrews and Annerie Dercksen were included in the squad of the Thistles.
The SA U19’s will be the fourth team. This tournament will be a last opportunity for players to stake a claim for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup that will be hosted in South Africa in early 2023.
