CRICKET NEWS - The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers, who still have their sights on promotion to Division 1 next season, have resumed their campaign in the Cricket South Africa Division 2 Four-Day competition, taking on Limpopo Impalas at the Six Gun Grill Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn.
The match started yesterday, Thursday, 17 November.
The Badgers opened their campaign with a defeat against the Eastern Storm while promotion contenders, the Northern Cape Heat, are in a strong position and topping the league after three consecutive outright victories.
The batting line-up remains a challenge and the selectors included the versatile Keenan Vieira, who will make his first-class debut.
Jean du Plessis is still side-lined following an ankle operation.
