High quality lucky draws, courtesy of the sponsors, saw everyone in with a chance of winning.
Participants on the 10km run had to predict their anticipated finish times upon registration. Whilst the first man and lady home were recognised as the real winners, three men and three ladies who get their individual predictions closet to their actual finish times were also rewarded.

Participants were in high spirits for the opening run of 2012. Presented as an off-road event, some hardy souls ran barefoot. A few bravehearts were spotted running "topless", some showing good sixpacks and others sporting healthy tans - proof of the great weather and a wonderful holiday season experienced by all in Mossel Bay and surrounds.
Proceeds of the event went to the local NSRI Station 15 in Mossel Bay who does wonderful work to ensure the safety of those enjoying our seas throughout the year - no matter the time of day - all by voluntary workers.
"Thank you to Tekkietown and New Balance for recognising the efforts of the NSRI through their on-going support and healthy sponsorship. Please diarise 1 January 2013 when we hope to see an even greater number of participants at Diaz Beach."

Prize winners with Gert Claassens and Junita Beleson of Tekkietown and Dawie Zwiegelaar of the NSRI.
