NATIONAL NEWS - Four security guards aged between 21 and 55 are due in the Ladysmith Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday facing two counts of murder.
The guards were arrested on Saturday after they allegedly beat two men to death, according to police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane.
“It is alleged that on Saturday, at Plaza Centre in Ladysmith, the suspects assaulted two victims with sticks and stones after they accused them of robbery,” said Zwane.
“Both victims died instantly and the suspects were immediately arrested and charged with two counts of murder.”
KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni condemned the killings.
