‘Pushed’ pedestrian killed by bus

NATIONAL NEWS - A man who was allegedly pushed into the road died this morning, 23 June after being hit by a bus on South Coast Road.

The man, who had been walking on the pavement in Clairwood, was killed at about 7.30am. “Exact detail to the cause of the incident is still speculative, however according to bystanders, the man was walking on the pavement when he was pushed, causing him to lose balance and fall into the roadway,” said Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Chris Botha.

When paramedics and police arrived, they found he had succumbed to his injuries.
