NATIONAL NEWS - The Supreme Court in Bloemfontein will today hear the next round in the nine-year long legal battle to have criminal charges reinstated against President Jacob Zuma.
The president and the NPA have appealed the High Court’s ruling that the decision to withdraw charges against Zuma was irrational.
Former prosecutions boss Mokotedi Mpshe withdraw the charges after considering representations from Zuma - which included the so-called Spy Tapes.
This will be the second time Zuma and the NPA will try convince a court that criminal charges should not be reinstated against the president.
A full bench of the High Court in Pretoria consisting of three judges including deputy judge president Aubrey Ledwaba found Zuma ought to be prosecuted.
