A few months ago, Jayden Joubert walked out of the Pikkewouterland Nursery School in Meyerspark and was picked up by a stranger.
His mother, who asked not to be named, said she was still upset that the school had not apologised for its negligence and had not reprimanded any of their teachers.
She said Jayden was picked up about 100m from the school by a lady, who was driving past.
She said she had found out what had happened from a teacher at the school who called her.
“She said an incident that involved Jayden had happened, and it was better I heard the matter from her,” said Jayden’s mother, adding that she had immediately removed her two kids from the school.
“I don’t understand how a child can just walk out without anyone seeing him. Anything could have happened. What upsets me most is that Jayden could have been kidnapped or worse.”
