'Flabba' murderer out on R15 000 bail

NATIONAL NEWS - Convicted murderer Sindisiwe Manqele has been granted bail in the High Court sitting in Randburg.

Yesterday Manqele was found guilty of murdering her rapper boyfriend Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi.

Manqele’s lawyers made a formal bail application before the courts today, which was granted a short while ago.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)'s Luvuyo Mfaku says she’s out on R15,000.

“The State opposed bail but the court granted her bail. We should hasten to outline the fact that bail is not punitive, it’s a measure to ensure the presence of an accused person in court.”
