Cape Town traffic official arrested for corruption

NATIONAL NEWS - A Cape Town traffic official has been arrested for corruption during a sting operation.

The woman is based at the New Ottery Driving Licence Testing Centre.

A local businessman recently complained to Cape Talk that one of his employees was guaranteed a drivers licence in exchange for cash.

The sting operation was then carried out on Tuesday.

The City of Cape Town's Richard Bosman says authorities immediately took action.
