Authorities say the teenager was recruited for a job in Johannesburg last month but on arrival was drugged and used as a prostitute.
Four suspects were all arrested at the weekend after police received a tip-off.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says, “A community member called the police to tell what actually transpired. The girl has now been removed, she has been taken to the hospital for examination and she will be taken to a place of safety. The suspects will be appearing at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.”
