NATIONAL NEWS - Tonight’s Opening of Parliament Address (OPA) by President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to start at 19:00.
The opening of parliament coincides with Nelson Mandela Day, which is celebrated world wide on the late president's birthday, 18 July.
Thirty years into the South African democracy, it will be the first time that a president addresses the country without an outright ANC majority.
Tonight Ramaphosa will be speaking on behalf of 11 different parties making up the Government of National Unity (GNU) and not just the ANC.
South Africans and the world will be watching and listening very closely to what Ramaphosa has to say when he addresses the nation from the Cape Town City Hall.
