MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Yesterday, Sunday 23 March, Rosie Venter (14) of Mossel Bay was crowned the Miss Pre-Teen Universe South Africa winner at a glittering national gala function in Limpopo.
Although the section of the competition in which Rosie competed is called pre-teen, it is for girls in their early teens, and the teen section is for girls in their late teens.
Rosie did exceptionally well in the pageant.
She won the titles of overall public choice, overall charity winner, Miss Pre-Teen Universe Western Cape and of course Miss Pre-Teen Universe South Africa.
The final was held at the Meropa Hotel and Casino in Polokwane, Limpopo.

In January, as part of the pageant, Rosie was selected from nationwide entries as an ambassador for the Miss Universe South Africa Pink Territory perfume range.
She was selected for this title together with only two other ambassadors.
Prior to this, Rosie won a voucher through the Miss Teen Universe SA competition when she was chosen as the best "voter" on social media.
Generous Rosie chose to spend the voucher on one of her little fans - a four-year-old Mossel Bay girl - and took her on a shopping spree to two chain stores this month.
Without telling anyone, Rosie and family actually added their own funds to the voucher, so that the child could really have a treat.
