‘Lion’ stops jogger in his tracks

NATIONAL NEWS - The sight of a lion crossing the road in front of him stopped a Kwambonambi runner dead in his tracks early yesterday morning.

Thokozani Msholo (40) left Kwambo at around 5.30am and had jogged about four kilometres in the direction of RBM when the saw the predator emerge from the Mondi forest.

‘I am still shaking! It crossed about 100 metres ahead of me and luckily did not look my way.

‘I froze and was trembling so much my knees were shaking.

‘It was a large male, perhaps full grown.’
